Laguna Woods Village PC Club
ABOUT US

The Laguna Woods Village PC Club, also known as the PC Club, is a non-profit organization of Laguna Woods Village volunteers dedicated to providing, operating, and maintaining PC computer user and learning facilities to benefit the community. Laguna Woods Village is located in Laguna Woods, a community of about 18,000 residents, located 7 miles east of Laguna Beach.

The club is managed by Officers and a Board of Directors that is elected annually by club members. Funds are earned through membership fees, class fees, and donations for special services. All funds are applied towards maintaining, upgrading, and improving the computer and educational facilities for the benefit of club members and the community. All property in the PC facilities is owned by Golden Rain Foundation.

The PC Club was organized in 1984 with about 8 members who met in a computer room in Clubhouse 1. In 1996 the first classes were offered, Special Interest Group Sessions (SIGs) were started, and club membership soared to over 500. The club continued to grow, and in 1998 with 1000 members, moved to larger facilities in a building adjacent to Clubhouse 2. In 2002, with over 2000 members, the PC Club moved to new, larger facilities on the 3rd floor of the Laguna Woods Village Community Center, our current location.
