Laguna Woods Village PC Club
Donations and Disposal of Used Computers

If you have a used computer system in good working condition that you would like to donate to the Laguna Woods illage PC Club (PC Club), please call the Workshop (268-2262) to speak with Norm Salzberg or one of the computer service staff members.

Donated computers are offered to PC Club members. Used printers, donated to the PC Club and checked by Workshop service staff, are also offered to members.

Please check with the Workshop (268-2262) for availability. The PC Club does not accept any computer equipment that is obsolete (dot matrix printers, CPUs with less than 200 MHz, dead monitors, etc.).

MONITORS

Currently, no monitors are needed or accepted. If the monitors are in good working condition, please donate them to a charity, such as Goodwill, 454-7711. You may also schedule a free pickup from your house by "E-Waste" (639-0500). If the monitors are defective or dead, you may take them to the Orange County Waste Management Recycle/Landfill center in Irvine at 6411 Oak Canyon Rd.

HOW TO DISPOSE OF USED COMPUTERS

There is a volunteer organization called Computers2schools that exists for the purpose of refurbishing computers and donating them to non-profit groups engaged in teaching computer skills. For details contact Chris Pflanzer at cpflanzer@computers2schools.org (or 714-521-5111).

You may also schedule a free pickup from your house by "E-Waste." Call 639-0500.

Computers may also be donated to the Goodwill Industries of Orange, 454-7711.

Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any suggestions or comments, please deposit them in the Suggestion Box at the PC Workshop.
