PC WORKSHOP GUIDELINES
It is important that you follow these guidelines for the protection of our computers and for the benefit of others. If you need help, please ask a Supervisor.
Run a virus check on each floppy, Zip disk, CD-R or CD-RW before use. Open personal files with a compatible application such as Word or Excel.
Enter your own ID's and Passwords to get your personal pages such as Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, Junomail, AOLmail, stock portfolios, etc.
For West Coast Internet e-mail (fea), go to mail.fea.net to get your e-mail.
Do not change the Workshop mail account in Outlook Express to your ID and password, or the next user will get your mail.
Do not change any system settings, options, defaults, or preferences. This may corrupt a program, printer, or the computer.
The networked and local printers are for limited personal use. Use the Print Window (Ctrl + P) to select desired page or highlighted area. Click the "Print" button only once.
This will prevent printing multiple copies or extra pages. You will not hear the network printer. Retrieve your work promptly.
Do not download or install any programs (games, applications, reference books, AOL, etc.) from the Internet, from a disk, or from a CD-ROM.
Save your e-mail and work to a Floppy disk. Do not store personal files on the Hard drive. Do not delete anything you did not create.
Close all open applications when you leave. Do not shut down the PC.
Copying licensed programs and printed material may be illegal. Make sure you have permission from the copyright holder.
No food, drink or cell phone use is allowed in the Workshop.
Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any suggestions or comments, deposit them in the Suggestion Box
