Loving The Utah Valley

Well, I’ve lived in the Utah Valley for about four years now, and if I’ve gained anything while staying here, it is that this area is so dang beautiful. I look out my sliding-glass door (I live half way up on the mountain by BYU’s Y), and I always have this pretty vista of Provo and the surrounding areas. There is a beautiful vista of Utah Lake, along with BYU campus. You are able to view Mormon temples in the distance, too. It is particularly pretty during the night time. At times, I like to look out my porch and just take it all in. While I’m closer to sea-level, like at BYU campus, I am engulfed by breath-taking snow-capped mountains, dressed in greenery during the spring time. Today, while I look the outdoors, it makes me want to take a nap using the clouds as a mattress. Once in a while we get a unannounced rain storm, which is always an enjoyable change from the hot weather during the summer. The summers are not unbearably baking hot, though, since Utah is a high desert. Humidity is nearly does not exist, which took me some getting used to. However, once you do, You will love it! It makes finding someplace cool to rest at during the summer much easier. Something I absolutely enjoy about Utah, which is beautiful in its own right, is the grid road system. They use a easy grid system in the majority of the cities in Utah, making it easy to find places. If I need to go to my classmate’s home, and he lives in 845 N 900 E in Springville, all I need to do to get there is go to that city, find the street 900 East, and then drive until I get to the block of 900 East between 800 North and 900 North. It makes my life much simpler, now that I don’t need to go look on MapQuest to find a place. If I could, I’d most definitely buy some homes in Utah right now.
