There are two things that are the most challenging for any real estate agent if they want to be successful. The first is finding potential sellers. The next is convincing the sellers within the first few minutes to list their house with you. The number one tool that an agent is going to use to do this is their listing presentation.

 

It’s not enough, however, to just show the seller a list of comparable properties that their home most closely matches. Nor is it enough to tell the prospective seller that their listing will be advertised in conventional newspapers and traditional print media. Sellers today want to see a modern agent that is using the latest in technology to promote their home for a quick sale and for the most money possible.

 

Successful agents today are using the latest in technology such as their website and social media outlets to sell homes and connect with buyers. A real estate agents listing presentation has to include a plan of how all these new technologies will be integrated into a promotional package that will showcase the sellers listing. This should include statistics on traffic levels of the agent’s website as well as showing knowledge about different social media sites and how they can be used to their fullest potential.

 

In an era of discount brokerages and flat fee MLS listings a real estate agent needs to bring more to the table. By showing the value of extra services the realtor can show real value in the services being offered and justify the fees that will be charged.
